Alfred is a 4 year old, Clyde/Morgan cross gelding. He’s standing right between 15.1-2hh and will likely finish close to 15.3hh. This boy is really spectacular and has been a joy to work with. As smart as he is good looking, we couldn’t ask for a more level headed easy going guy. He’s an extremely easy ride and good for any level rider.
On the trail, Alfred is a ton of fun to ride. He’ll mosey along on the buckle or lead the group bravely. He’s never in a hurry and loves to be out with his person. If you can hold the reins you can ride him. He loves to jump logs and splash in the river. He’s traffic safe and never bats an eye. We’ve taken him out on hunter paces and he was a complete superstar. Alfred has been schooled XC and has been brave over scary looking jumps. He has the cutest jump and tucks his knees nicely. This boy always tries his best to please and is extremely likeable.
In the ring, Alfred has a solid wtc and the most comfortable gaits. He has a naturally slow canter, and has great rhythm. He’s good at getting both leads and will be super easy to teach a lead change. He’ll pick up the canter from a walk and is balanced well both directions. His trot is flowy and adjustable. He’s reliable enough to just walk around and give pony rides.
Alfred has been started over small jumps in the ring, and always has the same quiet personality. He’s been doing mostly x rails and small verticals but has lots of potential to go higher. He has the look and the movement to excel in hunters with some more education. This boy is easy enough for any level of rider to have fun on. He’s absolutely every trainers dream to ride.
In the barn, Alfred is a total love bug and has amazing manners. He’s never pushy or rude. He’ll stand all day to be brushed, tacked up, and loved on. He’s easy to work around and picks up all four feet easily. He has no bad stall habits and gets along with everyone in the field. He’s used to dogs running around his legs and doesn’t have a mean bone in him. He’s never bit or kicked. He’s good for the farrier and easy to load on the trailer.
This guy has been a dream to have in the barn and he could excel in any direction. He’s the right age to make into anything you want along with the personality everyone wants. Everyone who meets him loves him. It’s rare to find such an old reliable soul in such a young horse. We love him and want the absolute best home for him.
Alfred is UTD on farrier, shots, dentist, deworming and coggins. He requires no maintenance and is an easy keeper. He is absolutely worth his weight in gold.
