“Gunner” - For Sale

15.2-3 hands : 6 year old : Grade QH : Gelding

Gunner is a six year old, Grade QH, gelding. This handsome boy stands right around 15.2-3 hands high. He’s built like a tank, and takes up leg well. He is quite the eye catcher with all his flashy markings, and his pretty movement. He’s sound, sensible, and sweet.

On the trail, Gunner has lots of miles and he is definitely a reliable one. He’ll go in the front or the back of the group, and he will ride off away from the other horses without hesitation. He jumps logs, goes swimming, crosses the creek, and goes through bridges. He’s seen bikes, traffic, dogs, hikers, deer, flags, tarps, and just about everything you can think of. This guy doesn’t take a wrong step. He’d be a great one to fox hunt or paper chase on. He’s well behaved in bigger groups and never gets upset if a horse rides too close. He’s been ridden out in both Western and English tack. He’s sure footed, and has stamina.

In the ring Gunner has been learning quickly. He’s using his top line, learning to bend, and move off of leg. He would be a fun one to play around with and do dressage. More recently he’s impressed us with his willingness over jumps. We’ve been keeping it small, however he has potential to do some sizable jumping.  This guy could really go any direction. He is athletic and brave. He’s schooled out cross country, and he thoroughly enjoyed himself. He enjoys having a job, and would love someone who can continue to teach him more. He’s been learning to go on the bit and carry himself properly. He’s sporty and intelligent.

In the barn, Gunner is easy to handle and work around. This boy absolutely loves attention, and even stands for the littles to brush him and give him treats. He picks up his feet, stands to be tacked, and he is very well behaved in his stall. He’s respectful to lead for turn out, and he can go out in a mixed herd. He’s behaved for the farrier, and  the dentist. Gunner will load right up on the trailer, and loves going new places. This boy is certainly a fun one to have in the barn, and he will make someone very happy.

Gunner is UTD on shots, farrier, dentist, and has a current Coggins. He does not require any maintenance, and he has had no health or soundness issues.
