"Pip" - For Sale

15 hands : 14 year old : Grade QH : Gelding

Pip is a 14 year old, Grade QH, Gelding. This boy gets attention everywhere he goes. He is a complete eye catcher with his pretty markings, sweet demeanor, and his good confirmation. He stands right around 15-15.1 hands high. He has been suitable for a variety of different size riders due to his stockier build, and has no problem toting around the husband, or guests on the trail. Pip is extremely versatile. He will ride English or Western. He knows how to neck rein, loves to pop over jumps, and is a great all-arounder.

Pip has most of his miles out on the trail, and he is always a fun ride to take out. He has a brave attitude, and he’s seen almost everything you can imagine out on the trails. He’s good with dogs, bicycles, hikers, other horses, traffic, and heavy equipment. He crosses bridges, jumps logs, and goes through the creek. He loves to swim, and will put his whole head under! He keeps everyone smiling with his fun personality, and his willingness to do anything. He’s sure footed, steady, and not the spooky type. He truly enjoys being out on the trail- it’s his favorite job to do.

Over jumps Pip is willing and honest. You rarely have to ask him twice, even with new or scary looking jumps. He loves to jump out cross country, over logs on the trail, and he always has the cutest form. He is a great one to lead the younger horses over the jumps, and build confidence. He’d excel fox hunting, and be a blast to take on paper chases.

In the ring, Pip has less experience, however he always brings a willing attitude. He’s a straightforward ride, and very responsive. He has his own motor, and is not one you constantly have to kick or get after. He is a comfortable one to trot around, and he has a ground covering canter. As far as jumping in the ring, Pip has mainly done simple combinations, and single jumps. He’s always honest, and fun to pop over the jumps. Although he may not win the hack, or be a dressage star in the ring, he makes up for it with his good attitude and work ethic. He has been ridden Western a lot. He can carry a heavier rider, and he neck reins nicely.

In the barn, Pip is a joy to handle. He’s extremely respectful in his stall, to lead, hand graze, and for turn out. He knows basic groundwork, and knows how to lunge. He can go out with any of the other horses, and he never causes drama in the field. He’s not pushy, mouthy, or rude on the ground. He stands on the ties to groom, bathe, clip, tack up, and he will even lower his head to take the bit. He loads right onto the trailer, and stands quietly for the whole drive. This boy has quickly become a barn favorite and we want the best home for him!
